Gloucestershire Royal Hospital visiting ban lifted

Visitors have been allowed back to the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital following a ban due to an outbreak of the norovirus "winter vomiting" bug.

From 10 November, people were asked not to visit relatives and friends after several wards were hit by the bug.

NHS bosses said normal visiting hours had been restored at the Gloucester hospital, apart from in ward 3B.

A spokesperson said visitors to any ward should not visit if they have had any symptoms of sickness or diarrhoea.
