Travellers move on to Gloucester school field
Gloucestershire County Council has said legal advice is being sought in an attempt to move a group of travellers from a school playing field.
About a dozen caravans set up camp on private property at the High School for Girls, in Denmark Road, Gloucester.
A council spokesman said the land was owned by a trust linked to the school.
A Gloucestershire County Council spokesman said officers from the authority had met with the travellers.
The group is thought to have moved on to the site on Saturday.
Alan Bently, from the council, said: "This land is owned by a trust linked to the school and we have met with the school officials to offer our them our support.
"We believe they are now seeking advice to begin legal proceedings to have the travellers removed."
