Man arrested in Gloucester shooting inquiry
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting in Gloucester.
Brett Ireson, from Matson, was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday following a raid by armed police on a house in Churchdown.
Two other men, aged 51 and 26, both from Churchdown, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have been released on police bail.
The victim was shot outside his home in Winsley Road, Matson, on 9 July.
The 24-year-old remains in hospital awaiting plastic surgery.
Forensic teams spent much of Wednesday searching the house in Churchdown and cars parked on the drive.
Mr Ireson remains in custody at Gloucester police station.
Police had previously offered a reward for information leading to Mr Ireson's arrest. A police spokesman confirmed that the reward would now be given out.
He said there was a £2,500 reward available for information directly leading to the recovery of the firearm used in the incident.
