Three English bulldog puppies have been stolen by raiders who smashed their way into a house and attacked the owner.

Three men forced their way into the home in Deneway, Basildon, at about 22:50 BST on Friday, taking the dogs away with them.

Essex Police said a woman inside the property was sprayed in the face with a substance during the raid.

Posting on social media, the owner pleaded: "Please, please help us get our babies back."
