Broomfield Village Hall party death: Cause of death 'not yet known'

A coroner has ordered further investigations into the death of a man who died outside a party at an Essex village hall.

Keith King, 57, from Bracknell, Berkshire, died after an argument outside the hall in Broomfield on Sunday night, the inquest heard.

He was taken to Broomfield Hospital where he was later confirmed dead.

A man aged 24, from Chelmsford arrested on suspicion of murder has since been bailed.

A woman who was also attacked was taken to hospital with a suspected broken nose.

The suspect, from Chelmsford, fled the scene but was arrested at about 02:00 BST.

Essex Police are appealing for any witnesses to both assaults, which took place in the car park outside the hall, to contact them.

The inquest was adjourned.
