Sible Hedingham shooting: Three charged over mansion burglary

Three men have been charged over a burglary at a mansion in which a businessman was shot in the leg.

The raid at The Old Rectory in Sible Hedingham, Essex, took place on 6 February.

Charlie Simms, of Great Yeldham, Kalebh Shreeve and Christopher Bergin, both from Sible Hedingham, are charged with aggravated burglary.

Essex Police said they attended Colchester Magistrates' Court and were remanded in custody.

The victim was left with "life-changing injuries", police said.

Mr Simms, 22, of North Road, Mr Shreeve, 23, of Gibson Road, and Mr Bergin, 27, of Hawkwood Road, were also charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and unlawful firearm possession.
