James Miller: Retired police officer cleared of sex attack

An ex-police officer from Essex has been cleared of two counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child.

James Miller, 85, of Marks Avenue, Ongar, was found not guilty of the offences at the Old Bailey, in London.

Mr Miller joined the City of London Police in 1955 and retired in 1985 at the rank of sergeant.

The charges against him related to the period from 1966 to 1968, City of London Police said.
