Two men and a boy have been arrested in connection with the death of a 24-year-old man in Essex.

Hassan Mohammed, from Camberwell, south London, was stabbed twice in York Road, Southend, during the evening of 7 July.

A 19-year-old, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old, all from the north London area, are being questioned by officers, an Essex Police spokesman said.

Six other men were arrested earlier this week. It is not yet known what the alleged offences of the nine men are.

From the group of six, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old from Southend have been released on bail until 14 July. The four others are still being questioned.

The results of a post-mortem examination into Mr Mohammed's death are due to be released later.
