Fatal Essex crash driver found not guilty

A man accused of causing the death of a 21-year-old woman in Essex in a three-car crash, has been found not guilty after a trial.

Kegan Gates, 21, of Stanford-le-Hope, was driving a BMW car that was in collision with a VW Golf and another car, on 15 December 2012.

The front-seat passenger in the Golf, Sophie Lennox, from Edmonton, died in the crash on the A1089 near Orsett.

Mr Gates was acquitted after the trial at Basildon Crown Court.
