Alan Dinsdale's 'guillotine death' investigation under way

A probe is under way into the death of a director at a printing firm, who is believed to have fallen on to a guillotine.

Alan Dinsdale died at Wickford's A & S Print Services on 21 January.

An inquest into the death of the 56-year-old, of Billericay, has been opened and adjourned in Chelmsford.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the crew it sent found "nothing that could be done". Mr Dinsdale died at the scene.

The Health and Safety Executive confirmed it was investigating the death and was working with the coroner to prepare a report into what happened.

A full inquest will be held into the death at a later date.
