Workers hurt in chemical incident in Harlow

Two men have been taken to hospital with breathing problems after they became ill while working with chemicals at a company in Essex.

The men were at Ronacrete in Flex Meadow, Harlow, when they needed the help of paramedics at about 09:35 BST.

Two ambulance crews and the hazardous area response team attended. The men were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Ronacrete provides surfacing, flooring and highway maintenance.

The firm is expected to make a statement later.

The condition of the men is not yet known.
