Woman bailed over Essex road accident

A woman arrested by police after two children were injured when they were knocked down by a car in Essex, has been released on bail.

The children, aged five and seven, were struck by a Ford Galaxy on Ruskin Road, Chadwell St Mary, Grays, on Wednesday afternoon.

They were taken to the Royal London Hospital, police said.

The 38-year-old from Grays has been released on police bail until 24 January.
