Baby among six people rescued from flat fire in Essex

A seven-month-old baby was among six people rescued from a fire in a flat in Essex.

The fire broke out in the second floor flat on Connaught Avenue, Frinton, just after midnight on Tuesday, leaving the property heavily smoke logged.

Firefighters rescued two adults and three children aged 17, 10 and seven, and the baby.

Paramedics were called in to help the family, who were all suffering the effects of breathing in smoke.
