Four charged after cannabis discovery in Essex

Four people have been charged with drug offences following the discovery of a cannabis factory in Essex.

More than 7,000 mature plants and 1,000 cuttings were found at a warehouse in Hall Road, Heybridge, near Maldon, on Tuesday night.

Police said the site was among the largest and most sophisticated ever found in the county.

The four were charged in connection with drug cultivation and will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court.
