An 87-year-old man has been interviewed by police investigating the death of an 81-year-old woman in Essex.
Mary Russell died following an incident at a house in Madeira Avenue, Leigh, on 30 October. Post-mortem results showed she suffered a bleed around the brain.
The man, who was taken to hospital after the incident, was interviewed by officers in hospital but was not arrested.
Police said the death was being treated as suspicious.
