Fire destroys cars at Stansted Airport car park

Twenty four cars have been damaged in a fire at the long-stay car park at Stansted Airport in Essex.

Fire crews were called to the airport's car park shortly before 0230 BST.

Initially it was believed only one car was on fire but on arrival firefighters found several cars alight and called for extra crews.

Police and fire services have started an investigation into the cause of the blaze, which will have affected vehicles belonging to holidaymakers.
