Man and dogs saved from Weymouth 'Christmas lights fire'

A man and two dogs were saved from a house fire thought to have been caused by Christmas lights, the fire service has said.

The man escaped from the window of the first-floor bedroom of the property in Weymouth, Dorset, with guidance from fire control.

Crews then rescued the two dogs during Friday night's blaze.

The fire is thought to have started in the hallway. The cause is under investigation.
