Lollipop woman and children hit by car in Weymouth

A lollipop woman and three children have been hit by a car in Dorset.

The four pedestrians were struck at about 15:45 GMT on the A354 Buxton Road, in Weymouth - which is currently closed in both directions.

The patrol woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.

An 11-year-old girl suffered a suspected broken wrist, while two 11-year-old boys sustained minor injuries. The driver was uninjured.

Officers are appealing for witnesses.
