Police have been given more time to question a man arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman in Bournemouth.

Natasha Wake, 26, was found dead at an address in Harley Gardens on Sunday afternoon.

A 26-year-old man, from Plymouth, was later arrested at Hengistbury Head.

Magistrates granted Dorset Police a further 36 hours to question the suspect. Officers said the arrested man and the victim were known to each other.

Formal identification has taken place and a post-mortem examination revealed Ms Wake died of multiple stab wounds, police said.
