Natasha Wake death: Man held on suspicion of murder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a woman was found in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police were called to an address in Harley Gardens at about 14:20 BST on Sunday.

The woman, named as Natasha Wake, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 26-year-old man from Plymouth, arrested at Hengistbury Head, remains in police custody. Police said the arrested man and the victim were known to each other.

Although formal identification is yet to take place, Ms Wake's family are being kept updated by officers.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place and crime scene investigations are continuing at the house.

Det Insp Mark Samuel said: "This is a tragic incident which has deeply saddened and shocked the community.

"I am appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the Harley Gardens area [on Saturday or Sunday] to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible."
