Bournemouth man charged over PCSO assaults

A man has been charged with the racially-aggravated assault of a police community support officer (PCSO) in Bournemouth.

Liam Andrew Vaughan, 42, of Bournemouth, was also charged with head-butting a female PCSO and a "town centre ranger".

The charges relate to the alleged theft of a charity box from a bank in The Square on Thursday afternoon.

The female PCSO required hospital treatment.

Mr Vaughan will appear at Bournemouth Magistrate's Court on Friday where he will also face a charge of theft.
