Man injured by liquid attack near Bournemouth skatepark

A man sustained serious eye injuries when an unknown liquid was thrown in his face, police have said.

The 46-year-old victim was near a skate park in Kings Park, Bournemouth, when the attack happened at about 20:00 BST on Friday.

The offender was described as a slim man of mixed race, with a thin face and nose and an Afro-style haircut and wearing a red jumper and blue jeans.

Detectives have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Det Con Jane Millard, of Dorset Police, said: "At this time it is not known what kind of liquid was thrown at the victim.

"I believe two male witnesses assisted the victim with first aid at the scene and I am very keen to talk to them as they may be able to assist me with my investigation."
