Liam Day search: Body found in sea near Swanage
Police searching for a climber who failed to return from Dorset's Jurassic Coast have recovered a man's body from the sea near Swanage.
An extensive air, sea and land search by police and coastguard crews began on 15 June when Liam Day, 26, failed to return to his home in Southampton.
Mr Day is thought to have been climbing alone near Durlston Country Park.
Police said a man's body had been found in the sea off St Alban's Head and Mr Day's family had been informed.
The discovery was made at about 11:45 BST by a passing yacht which informed the coastguard.
Two Swanage lifeboats and the UK Coastguard helicopter based at Portland were sent to the area.
The body, which has not yet been formally identified, was recovered by one of the boats.
Posting on Facebook at about 12:00 BST, Mr Day's partner, Emily Brown, recalled a significant date in their relationship exactly two years ago.
She wrote: "Today is the day I popped the question... love you longtime baby boy".
On 15 June, she posted that it seemed unlikely that Mr Day would ever return.
