Weymouth motorcyclist killed in crash with car
A motorcyclist has died in a crash with a car in Dorset.
The man, in his 30s and from Weymouth, died at the scene on the A354 between Weymouth and Dorchester at 12:13 GMT on Saturday.
The road was closed between the Jurassic roundabout in Weymouth and the football club roundabout at Dorchester for almost five hours.
The victim's next of kin and the coroner have been notified.
His black Suzuki motorcycle crashed with a red Jaguar XF saloon, Dorset Police said.
The Jaguar's driver, a 66-year-old man from the Weymouth area, along with an adult and child passenger, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Dorset County Hospital as a precaution.
Sgt Dave Stroud from Dorset Police's traffic unit urged witnesses to come forward to police.
He said: "I would also like to thank motorists for their patience while the road closure was in place so that emergency services could deal with the incident."
