Poole man dies after being hit by car

A pedestrian who was knocked down by a car in Poole on Friday night has died.

Dorset Police confirmed the 68-year-old man from the town died at Poole General Hospital on Sunday.

He had serious head injuries after being hit at 21:30 GMT on Friday at the junction of Constitution Hill Road and Ashley Road, near the Sea View Hotel.

Officers said the vehicle involved was a red 14 plate Vauxhall Adam hatchback. Police are appealing for witnesses.
