Dorset and Hampshire bookmaker robberies: Man arrested
A man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery offences at bookmakers in Dorset and Hampshire.
A robber threatened an employee with a hammer at Ladbrokes on Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, on Wednesday.
A worker was also forced to hand over cash by a man armed with a knife at Coral on Castle Lane West on Thursday.
A man has been arrested in Bournemouth in relation to those robberies and also a third one on Friday at Ladbrokes on Leith Avenue, Portsmouth.
Dorset Police said the arrested man remained in custody while inquiries continued.
The force previously released CCTV images from both Bournemouth raids after it said they were linked. The amount of cash taken in the raids has not been disclosed.
