Bournemouth shooting: Man charged on suspicion of attempted murder

A man has been charged on suspicion of attempted murder after another man was injured in a shooting in Bournemouth.

A gun was fired at a house in Jewell Road, on the Townsend Estate, in the early hours of Tuesday.

A 48-year-old man sustained a pellet injury to the side of his body.

The 24-year-old is also charged with a number other offences. Two men, aged 24 and 25, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, have been released on bail.

The charged man, who was due to appear at Bournemouth Magistrates' Court on Saturday, is also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, affray, wounding and possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.

All three men are from Bournemouth.
