A £650,000-scheme to aid cycling, walking and bus travel on a congested Bournemouth route will be complete by September, the council there has said.

The work on Castle Lane West, yet to get under way, will include cycle lanes separating bikes from traffic.

The area between Broadway and Yeomans Way roundabouts will see work, and a cycle bypass will also be installed at East Way junction.

The scheme is being funded by central government.
