A teenage girl found dead near a flyover suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest, an inquest has heard.

Linda Lietaviete, 16, was discovered by a team of paramedics at Horseshoe Common, Bournemouth, early on Friday.

Alvin Santos, 25, from Bournemouth, has been charged with her murder. He was remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday.

Linda, who was originally from Latvia, was a business administration student at Bournemouth and Poole College.

In a statement, the college said she was "very popular" and a "joy to teach".

It said staff and students had been "deeply shocked" and her classmates were "devastated".
