A murder investigation has started after a man was attacked outside a Dorset supermarket and died later in hospital.

Andrew Young, 40, suffered a head injury outside a Tesco store in Bournemouth on Wednesday.

A row broke out just before 15:30 GMT involving a man on a bike near the store in Charminster Road. A second man in a beanie hat then punched Mr Young.

He was taken to Southampton Hospital but died later.

Dorset Police said they wanted to trace the man in the hat, described as being in his early 20s, of mixed race and between 5ft 8in and 6ft-tall.

He was wearing a grey hooded top with a logo across the front and a dark grey beanie hat.

A woman wearing a green coat was also outside the store, police said.

Detectives are also looking for a man and woman who were nearby but not involved who could be witnesses - the woman was wearing a white woollen hat.
