Spiderman Bournemouth flyover protester arrested

A protester dressed as Spiderman has been arrested following a demonstration on top of a flyover in Bournemouth.

Police confirmed the 31-year-old from the town was arrested on suspicion of causing a danger to road users.

Officers were called to the Cooper Dean flyover on the southbound carriageway of the A338 just after 11:30 BST following concern for his welfare.

The man displayed a banner on the barrier of the Wessex Way which read "4 fathers there is no justice".

Road diversions were put in place while police closed the road to speak to the protestor. He was arrested at about 14:00 and the road was reopened shortly after.
