Woman's death in Poole: Further tests required

Police have been unable to find out why a woman died in Dorset.

A post-mortem examination was carried out after officers were called to Langdon Road, Poole, at about 03:00 GMT.

Det Insp Becky Riggs, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said the cause of death was "unascertained, pending further tests".

The woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, is described as in her 30s and from the local area.

Her next of kin have been informed.

Det Insp Riggs added: "The circumstances of the woman's death are not yet known.

"I would like to reassure residents that I do not believe there is any reason for them to be concerned or alarmed at this stage."

A cordon that was put in place at the junction of Richmond Road and Langdon Road has now been taken down.
