Plans to create a "public realm' could see wider pavements as well as new parking and public transport arrangements in a Bournemouth street.

Proposals to increase footfall along Westover Road have gone on public display for the first time.

Bournemouth Borough Council also wants to improve links to the town's Lower Gardens and seafront.

Earlier this year, taxi drivers, bus companies and traders were consulted on their ideas for the area.

The road is home to a cinema as well as a range of shops, hotels and restaurants.

Once the designs have been displayed at the town's Tourist Information Centre in Westover Road, they will be available on the borough council's website.

A consultation runs until 7 November and the council hopes to produce a final design by the end of the year.
