Girl hurt by pavement cyclist in Bournemouth

A four-year-old girl from Dorset suffered a broken leg when she was hit by a cyclist riding on the pavement.

The girl was walking in Southbourne Grove, Bournemouth with her parents on Saturday afternoon when she was struck.

Police are trying to track down the rider of the bike, who they believe initially stopped but then rode on.

He is described as white, aged in his late teens or early 20s, slim with short fair hair.

Police said he was riding a dark-coloured mountain bike and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
