Girl injured in Durdle Door rock fall

A teenage girl had to be rescued when she fell on rocks at a popular Dorset beauty spot.

The girl was taking part in an activity known as coasteering in which people taking part walk and swim along rocky coastlines.

The coastguard was called on Sunday when the girl fell at Durdle Door.

Rescue officers helped an ambulance get to the scene and the girl was taken to hospital for treatment to a shoulder injury and cuts to her face.
