Teenager arrested over Weymouth gun raid

A teenager has been arrested after a masked group armed with baseball bats and a gun raided a home in Dorset.

A man suffered head injuries in the attack while jewellery and money was stolen from the property in Stanley Street, Weymouth.

Police later arrested a 19-year-old man who was questioned and bailed.

Officers, who also recovered a firearm nearby, reassured members of the public that the incident on Sunday night was "isolated".

Det Insp Marcus Hester, of Weymouth CID, said: "Police are investigating all avenues, including whether the victim and offenders are known to each other."
