Aircraft makes emergency landing at Bournemouth Airport

A small aircraft with two people on board made an emergency landing at Bournemouth Airport after getting into difficulty.

Emergency crews were scrambled to the "full emergency stage one" incident at about 1500 GMT.

The plane's starboard engine had started to issue smoke, but Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said the aircraft landed safely.

Crews from Springbourne, Christchurch and Westbourne attended.
