Windsurfer rescued in Portland Harbour by RNLI lifeboat

A windsurfer was rescued when he got into difficulties off the coast of Dorset.

Portland coastguard officers and Weymouth's RNLI inshore lifeboat were scrambled on Saturday afternoon after a call from a member of the public.

The coastguard officers guided the lifeboat to the "tired and cold" windsurfer in Portland Harbour.

The windsurfer was transported back to shore uninjured where he was met by coastguards.
