Anglers saved in Weymouth harbour rescue

Ten people on an angling boat had to be rescued when their vessel ran aground in thick fog off the Dorset coast.

Weymouth's RNLI all weather and inshore lifeboats were scrambled when the Duchess II hit rocks outside the town's harbour on Wednesday.

The anglers and crew were helped on to the lifeboats and brought safely back to shore uninjured.

The RNLI boats later returned to the stricken vessel which was refloated and escorted back to land.
