Man airlifted after cliff rescue at Golden Cap

A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling down a cliff at a Dorset beauty spot.

Coastguard rescued teams were called to the cliffs at Golden Cap, between Bridport and Charmouth, at about 1615 GMT.

They were alerted by a man walking his dog on the top of the cliff who heard cries for help.

The injured man, who is in his 50s, was rescued and airlifted by helicopter to Dorset County Hospital.
