Boys rescued after night swimming at Hengistbury Head

Two teenagers had to be taken to hospital with suspected hypothermia after going into the water off Dorset under the influence of alcohol.

Emergency crews were called at about midnight on Sunday when a group of boys entered the sea at Hengistbury Head.

The teenagers were helped out. Two were taken to hospital while some of the others were picked up by their parents.

Portland Coastguard said it was dangerous to go into the water after drinking alcohol.
