Four kayakers had to be rescued when they got into difficulty in rough seas off Dorset's Old Harry Rocks.

Portland Coastguard was alerted by the skipper of a passing motor cruiser who saw the kayakers struggling by the chalk stacks off Studland.

The Swanage RNLI inshore lifeboat and Swanage Coastguard Rescue Officers were sent out to investigate.

The lifeboat crew rescued all four people and towed their kayaks back to Studland Bay.
