Plymouth terrorism arrest and property search
A man has been arrested by counter-terrorism police on suspicion of sending malicious communications.
Specialist officers are also carrying out a search at an unspecified address in Plymouth.
The 43-year-old local man was also arrested in August by officers investigating a bomb threat received by a mosque in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
Following that arrest he was released on bail while further investigations were carried out.
Police from the North-East Counter Terrorism Unit confirmed he had now been arrested on suspicion of further offences under the Malicious Communications Act.
They say he has been taken to a local police station for questioning but would not reveal which one, or the address that is being searched.
