Man held over abusive call to Exeter MP Ben Bradshaw
A man has been arrested after an abusive telephone call was made to Exeter MP Ben Bradshaw.
It is unclear when the message was left on the MP's parliamentary office answer machine but it was first heard on Wednesday - the day before his Labour colleague MP Jo Cox was killed .
A 37-year-old man from Exeter has been charged under the Malicious Communications Act 1988.
He has been bailed to appear before Exeter magistrates on 5 July.
Mr Bradshaw has been the MP for the county town of Devon for 19 years.
When news of the attack on Mrs Cox broke he tweeted: "Absolutely ghastly news about my lovely colleague Jo Cox. Thoughts & prayers for her & her loved ones."
