Devon and Cornwall police helicopter targeted with green laser
A Devon and Cornwall Police helicopter has been targeted with a green laser on take-off and landing.
The laser was pointed at the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter while flying in the Exeter area on Saturday night.
The incident was highlighted by Devon & Cornwall police officer RDO Garry Bacon on Twitter.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said the person has been located and arrested.
Resource deployment officer (RDO) Garry Bacon tweeted: "The crew are fine but it is so dangerous & could've been worse. Pilots can be dazzled for up to 6 mins!!"
He continued: "Fact is our helicopter is equipped to locate these type of people. Robustly dealt with by local officers."
