Man arrested over Sophie Taylor car crash death in Falmouth

The driver of a car in which a 16-year-old girl was killed, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The unnamed 18-year-old man was driving a Volkswagen Golf when it crashed near Pendennis Point in Falmouth, Cornwall, at 01:50 GMT on Sunday.

The teenager who died has been named by police as Sophie Taylor, from Falmouth.

Devon and Cornwall Police said no other vehicles were involved and the car overturned after hitting a verge.
