Murder charge after body found in van in Fenny Bridges

A man has been charged with murder after a woman's body was found in a van in Devon.

The remains, believed to be those of a 71-year-old woman, were found in Fenny Bridges, Honiton at about 16:00 GMT on Wednesday, police said.

Charles Broom, 66, from Honiton, was remanded in custody to appear before Exeter Magistrates Court on Friday.

The woman, believed to be a 71-year-old from the local area, is due to be formally identified.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it was not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
