Man admits £150,000 Honiton jewellery raid

A robber has admitted stealing silver, gold and jewellery worth £150,000 from an antiques shop.

Edward O'Hare, 45, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to robbing Sanwell Antiques in Honiton, Devon on 22 March.

O'Hare was seen on CCTV attacking a woman staff member as she opened the shop.

He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at the end of the trial of another man, Kevin Neal, 52, from London, who faces the same charge.

The shopkeeper was unharmed in the raid.
