A crash between a lorry and a cyclist has caused major tailbacks on one of Devon's main roads.

Emergency services were called to the A38 eastbound carriageway near Lee Mill at about 10:55 BST.

The cyclist, believed to be a man in his 30s, was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth by air ambulance. Police said he had "serious injuries".

The lorry driver, a man in his early 40s, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, officers said.

Tailbacks stretching about five miles (8km) were reported near the scene of the crash.
