Torquay's Bistrot Pierre restaurant 'to create 60 jobs'

A new restaurant is expected to create up to 60 jobs at a seaside resort in Devon, its owners say.

Bistrot Pierre, which specialises in French food, will open in Torquay in August.

The firm is looking for managers, chefs and waiters to work at the two-storey restaurant and bar.

It will be based in the £12m Abbey Sands development, which is a six-storey complex being built on the resort's seafront.

Apartments, holiday accommodation and leisure facilities are also being created at the site.

Last year, Bistrot Pierre opened its first restaurant in the south-west of England in Plymouth.
